The Carfree Road Starts Here and Now

All my life, like most other American males of some means, I've been infatuated by the automobile, never thinking of the implications of my automotive decisions. Only upon reaching the ripe old age of 60 do I realize that it is neither necessary nor responsible to hop in the car for every little errand. Enter the electric hub motor assisted recumbent trike. Powered by a 400 watt Wilderness Energy motor, charged by solar cells, I can run my errands, get exercise and reduce my carbon footprint all at the same time. In my life, I've owned a variety of automobiles, some practical, others wildly not so, from a Tr3 to a Corvair, racing an Alfa Romeo, a '69 Corvette with a monster stroker motor to a Jaguar. None give me the thrill of getting where I'm going at a slower pace under my own or assisted power!
In the future, you will see my ride outfitted with solar panels and an all-weather body.

So, this is where it starts for me, a new, responsible way of doing things, inventing and building as I go along. It should be fun!
